Paul Iske is professor at the School of Business and Economics, University Maastricht, Netherlands, focusing on Open Innovation and Business Venturing. Special topic: Combinatoric Innovation (Innovation by Combination). He is member of the Management Team of the Service Science Factory (www.servicesciencefactory.nl) and he is on the Board of the Network of Social Innovation (www.networksocialinnovation.nl).

Furthermore, Paul Iske is Chief Dialogues Officer and Director of the Dialogues Incubator at ABN AMRO Bank (www.dialoguesincubator.nl). In these roles he is responsible for open, radical, social and sustainable innovation. He is initiator and Director of the Dialogues House, ABN AMRO’s center for outside-in and future-proof thinking and behaviour (www.dialogueshouse.nl).

Paul founded the ‘Institute of Brilliant Failures’
(www.brilliantfailures.com), with the mission to highlight the importance of experimentation to achieve paradigm shifts and breakthrough innovation. On a free-lance basis, Paul acts as an independent consultant on Knowledge-conscious Management and supports organisations in the development and implementation of programs focusing on leveraging knowledge as a strategic production factor.

Furthermore, he acts as a board-room consultant on issues related to innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. As ‘Consulting Challenger’ he invites his clients to make the extra step and to look beyond the obvious. He is a frequent speaker on international conferences and workshops
focusing on Innovation, Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Management.

Paul is married and has three children. He enjoys this learning organization as well as walking in the (Norwegian) mountains, playing tennis and listening to classical music.

Ms Jeanette Iren Moen was appointed State Secretary to Minister of Trade and Industry Trond Giske (Labour Party) in May this year, and has been working as Political Adviser to the same Minister from November 2009 until May 2012.

Before joining the Ministry, Ms Moen worked with political affairs at Fellesforbundet (The Norwegian United Federation of Trade Unions) (1996-2009).

Through her work, Ms Moen has served on several committees and forums. Among the most recent and noticeable are: The Environmental Forum of the LO (Norway’s largest and most influential workers’ organization); LO’s Forum for Research Policy; and The Forum for carbon capture and storage, established by The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (2008-09).

She was also an active member of the organization European Youth of Norway (1993 – 95). Ms Moen holds a Master of Arts in Political Science, University of Oslo.

Founder, principal shareholder and CEOEdel AG

Michael Haentjes is the founder, principal shareholder and CEO of edel AG. Born 1956 in Cologne, he studied musicology in Cologne and Berlin. After spending only one year as a grammar school teacher, Haentjes joined the music magazine “Fachblatt” as an editor, where he wrote about such international rock giants as enesis, Queen, the Eagles or Bob Dylan.

In 1978, he founded the label IC together with the musician Klaus Schulze (Tangerine Dream). One year later, he joined WEA, where he became assistant to the then managing director Siegfried Loch.

In 1981, he was appointed general manager of Warner Home Video, a position which he held until 1984. This was followed by the position of head of marketing at Teldec GmbH, after which he founded edel music in Hamburg as a mail order company for soundtracks in 1986.

In 1987, he recruited his first employee and started releasing back catalog under license from the majors and independents. Two years later, Edel became a fully fledged record company which sold its compilations and soundtracks to retailers via its own distribution team. 1991 saw the establishment of the optimal CD pressing plant as well as subsidiaries in Austria and Switzerland. In 1994, the first artists were signed. The next few years brought international expansion and a substantial increase in the product catalog, culminating in Edel AG’s stock-market flotation in 1998. Since renamed Edel AG, it remains one of the largest independent music companies in Europe. Over the last few years, it has acquired and also developed book publishing operations, established a strong position in the digital distribution of content and expanded its printing and binding activities substantially.

Michael Haentjes was recipient of the MIDEM “Person of the Year” award in 1999 at the international MIDEM music fair. He has been a member of the international management board of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) for many years.

In October 2005, he was elected chairman of the German Phonographic Associations (IFPI, Bundesverband der Phonographischen Wirtschaft.

Stian Rustad (1973) is a serial entrepreneur. He is a trained engineer from HIT and economist from Norwegian School of Management.

Rustad is the founder and CEO of 24SevenOffice ASA, an IT company founded in 1996 which Is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The company was one of the first players in the Software as a Service market and has today become Europe’s leading web based business system.

He is also investor and co-founder of several companies dedicated to Defence electronics, Search technology, Telecom, Offshore, Accounting, Hosting and Real estate.

Speaker Yngve Dahle

Partner/ProfessorTele Venture/School of Marketing in Oslo

Yngve Dahle holds an MBA in addition to studying political science. He worked six years in the banking and insurance industries, among others as marketing director of Insurance company Gjensidige. Then he led technology companies in, – and abroad for 10 years.

In addition to being the lead author of the books “growth company” and “profitable Growth”, Yngve is a partner in Tele Venture and associate professor at the School of Marketing in Oslo.

Yngve is also the man behind the viaduct national workshop series on business concept, business model and business plan that is becoming very popular.
